Suprasorb® X + PHMB exhibits broad antimicrobial efficacy*. In vitro studies have demonstrated the very rapid and almost complete release of polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) from the dressing after 24 hours. Depending on the condition of the wound, the products either release moisture or absorb excess exudate, creating a moist wound environment. Change of dressing is atraumatic. The material allows easy adaptation of the dressing to any shape or depth of wound. The products are therefore particularly suited for difficult-to-treat parts of the body. The wound dressing is specifically designed not to adhere to the wound or secondary dressing. Patients find the moist environment and cooling effect pleasant and soothing.
